We hit the track on one of the coldest and wettest days we have
experienced this year, for Friday's practice session.
We were quietly confident of having a good weekend as Winton is our
home and test track.
A large rain and wind storm ripped through the paddock just prior to the
practice starting. This had everyone ducking for cover, as many of the
team's tyre tents took to the skies from the rear of their garages.
Layton Crambrook drove the # 33 car in a 30 minute rookie session to try
out for our final endurance seat. He drove very well in the trying wet
conditions. Layton is doing a great job in the V8 Ute series and a decision
will be made in the near future, as to who our fourth driver will be.
There were quite a few offs and red flags throughout the session and one
of the Stone Brothers cars was badly damaged.
