After a very quick turnaround from the Darwin races, we were back in the warm weather for Round 7 at Queensland Raceway. The 3.12 kilometre circuit, famously known as the paper clip, is a great track for spectators, as you can see all the action from most vantage points. There were 3 x 38 lap races with 1 compulsory stop for tyres in each. Fridays practice got under way with clear blue skies, as there had been speculation as to the weather being inclement. The engineering crew were still coming to grips with the new tyre, but were on the money early.
