Garry Rogers Motorsport’s Michael Caruso achieved the best result of his maiden V8 Supercar Championship season after scoring a strong 13th place overall at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin last weekend (July 4-5).
A vast change from the cold Melbourne weather last round, 25-year-old Caruso battled track temperatures in the 40s during the three-day race meeting in the top-end. But firmly focused on the job at hand at what was his first ever racing event at the Darwin circuit resulted in his highest finish so far this year.
